Everyone Has A Story To Tell
Throughout High School, I was told many times that I had verbal diarrhoea. Naively, I thought this was a compliment. So you can imagine my surprise when I was asked to start writing a Blog.
Slightly terrified Me: “What on earth would I write about?”
They said, “Well, your life would be a good place to start! Your views on being a mum with two little ones and a husband who is more often away working than at home.”
Ok … But who would want to hear about that? Apparently, other mums in similar situations. I thought to myself, I’m in no way qualified to write bloggy things, I have verbal diarrhoea, it’s a real condition! They persisted, and told me to just write like I tell stories. To keep a diary about things that happened to me. So … here goes!
The Chezzi Diaries – a mishmash of a hectic, calamity style life of motherhood, country with a dash of city living, a husband who is on television six nights per week, which means sometimes, he’s seen by the rest of the country more than he’s seen by me, and just a pinch of my public, very honest weight loss journey.
Ask me questions, and please let me know your thoughts on topics as we go, happy to discuss just about anything! But to the person who always comments on my photos that I look more like my husband’s mother than his wife – that hurts! But, I have a good sense of humour and tell myself she needs to go to Specsavers* to avoid falling in a heap and crying myself to sleep! Let’s keep the conversations pleasant – we can all get along!
I should also mention that I live in a rural area and have zero internet connection. Yep, none. I’m currently writing this on a computer in my local public library. I’m on the roll out for the NBN, but hey, isn’t everybody? So if your idea of a blogger is someone who is glued to their laptop, dressed in their best, sipping lattes while furiously tying entries at a table of some funky, up-market cafe… I don’t fit that mould, so turn back now! I’m in my Active Wear – it’s comfy! Wearing a large cap, no make-up, fighting for elbow space with the person sitting next to me, trying to pretend I’m not typing this about them! I’m being eyeballed by two people waiting their turn, so … until next time!

Chezzi as she calls herself, is not regal per say, but she is always courteous and best of all, she quite loves Corgis, so we are reasonably fond of her
The Queen – Madame Tussards
Chezzi knows nothing about football but by gosh she can tackle hard! Read her stuff please. Get her off my back
Greg – NFL wannabe
I’ve never trained anyone quite like her. She makes lots of odd sounds and pulls strange faces when working hard. I have to push her though as she prefers to chat. Um, she tried really hard. She’s super enthusiastic and not scared to sweat buckets! I love that about her. She brightens up my day with her mad life stories!
Bev – The Personal Trainer
“Dad-dy?”
Scout – Daughter (18mths)
Cheryl was always dramatic. At 4, she told us she wanted to be like Miss Piggy & work in TV! She never drew breath but was always a sweet child. Wild but very sweet.
Peter & Shelley Rogers – The Parents
Butterflies are always following me, everywhere I go.
Mariah Carey – International Singing Superstar
Chezzi thinks she’s hilarious but in fact, she laughs at her own jokes and often loses it before even getting to the punchline. I’m much funnier. She gets a lot of her material from me.
Lisa (Moons) Mooney – The Best Friend
A gifted storyteller with self-deprecating wit; tales of Chez’s day-to-day life need no exaggeration. If it’s going to happen, it’s going to happen to Chez! Over a decade of friendship, she has never ceased to amaze me with her strength, courage – and hilarity! I’m so glad her humour and wisdom has been given a platform to be shared with the world. Bookmark this blog!

She is my wife and I’m scared of her, because she’s tougher than me therefore I can only say nice things about her! She IS unique and funny, so read her stuff. Please!
Grant Denyer – Husband
Mummy is a good cookerer. She’s pretty nice to me most of the time and she reads me books. I love her because she gives me nice food but she can sometimes be a bit rough when brushing my hair.

Thanks for stopping by and having a read! Hope to catch up really soon xox
Hi, Chezzi, this is a great start! I have friends who did the blogging thing (and I gave it a go several years back) and they say that it became a great way to record things their families were doing that they can look back on some day and remember. Writing is not easy; for me, it’s the editing process that takes a while. But just write what comes to mind, and be yourself, and I’m sure this will be a successful endeavour for you. Congratulations on the launch of your blog and website! xx
Thanks Lyn, that’s wonderful advice! I’ve really enjoyed writing again. It’s been a looonnnnggg time since I’ve done anything like this. Hopefully the stories will just keep rolling out as easy as these did! Hope youstay in touch xoxo

Thanks for a good laugh Chezzi! I’m a mum of 3 under 5 and I need as many funny reads as I can get my hands on! I look forward to following this space in the future. Will you post weekly or fortnightly?
Hi Amy,
Thanks for your comment!
I’m hoping to post fortnightly at this stage but we’ll see! It’s hard at the moment as I have no internet at home but I’ll do my best to bring you fresh posts as often as I can!

Hi Alison,
Thank you so much for taking the time to write to me. Your feedback means the world! I was a little nervous about being so honest.. but it’s totally organic and that’s just me.
Thanks for stopping by xoxox
I think you will do just fine you made me giggle thanks i don’t do enough of it anymore. There is enough negativity around so if people want to be rude its there loss not yours and its usally because they are going through a lot of of crap in their own life and are not happy. And to be honest to find a guy who loves his family the way Grant loves you is rare so jealous is probably there too. Keep going and thanks for the giggle i can’t wait to see what comes next x
Hey Tammy,
You’re so right! The haters will also be haters!
Thanks for your kind words. I appreciate the feedback!
Hopefully my next posts don’t let you down and you get another giggle or two along the way!

Hi xxx,
Thank you for the kind offer.
As it’s The Chezzi Diaries, most of the stuff I write about is in my head and quite hard to explain – even for me! hah!!
I appreciate the offer to write. I’ll be in touch if I need some help in the future!
Thanks again and good luck with your site!
